L to R: Chocolate Ice Cream, Vanilla Ice Cream, Tea, Coffee, Curry and SushiЖ-Men...but not the ones you might expect! This week LJ Russia launched Ж-Men, a new comedy series about superheroes, inspired by the LJ communities dedicated to superheros, comics and cartoons. The title's "Ж" comes from ЖЖ, the nickname for LiveJournal in Russia. Ж-Men's script is written by a group of LJ enthusiasts who also happen to be television professionals. Who knew? Following the premiere, five more episodes will be broadcast over the next two weeks. We hope you find the series fresh and enjoyable. This is, of course, an experiment for LiveJournal. As always, we'd love to hear what you think! Current Mood: awake

Until a few days ago, I'd mostly held off on playing a lot of Rock Band since the last time I posted a Score War update; breaking 9 million points hasn't really changed my life, but it should be noted that 9 million is most certainly over 9,000. I got in some good World Tour play with tunaman while he visited (which I'm still sort of processing, and will me making a post about tonight or tomorrow), and after having a few weeks away from the Solo Tour I figured I'd get back into a few songs a day to stay sharp just in case I can put my talents to use at PAX next month. I went through "Green Grass and High Tides" last night after adding a good chunk of points to "Creep," and ended up adding another 20,000 points to my score, putting me about another 20,000 away from the Gold Star minimum (413,106 points, if you're interested). 20k isn't really all that far away, so gold starring it seemed entirely plausible. You know, at some point in the future. Or today. You know, whichever. Booted up the ol' 360 and decided to do one run-through to see how I'd place in regards to last night's run, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't exceed my own expectations. I'm well aware that the margin for improvement on this song is still pretty large, but dude. I topped the 6-star cut-off by nearly 30k points on one of the hardest songs in the game. I am very, very pleased. Career Score thus far: 9,126,727 Tags: gaming, rock band, score war
